SPOT busSPOT Public Bus Service

SPOT stands for Selkirks-Pend Oreille Transit. SPOT is a not-for-profit collaborative venture between the cities of Dover, Sandpoint, Ponderay and Kootenai that provides reliable, efficient and FREE public bus service. SPOT is overseen by a volunteer committee, the Bonner Transportation Team. System manager is Marion Johnson.

SPOT offers two lines – a GREEN line for Dover-Ponderay, and a BLUE line for Sandpoint-Ponderay with a connection to Schweitzer.

  • Main route hours of operation 6:24 a.m. – 6:27 p.m., seven days a week
  • Both BLUE and GREEN line buses circle their routes once each hour
  • GREEN line three late runs in winter only, on Fridays and Saturdays, plus West Sandpoint and Dover alternate routes with less frequent stops
  • BLUE line includes three late runs in winter only, on Fridays and Saturdays
  • No services Easter and Thanksgiving

Buses circle the route once each hour – so either northbound or southbound riders can expect a bus going their way about once per hour.
