Please remember all electric carts or electric cars must follow the same traffic laws as other vehicles, including ALL regulatory signs and the use of directional or hand signals when making turns. 1.) To operate at night or before sunrise your golf cart must be equipped with head lights, brake lights, turn signals, and reflective warning devices on the front and rear sides of the vehicle. Headlights should be used 30 minutes before sunset and 30 minutes before sunrise; and always be used during inclement weather. 2.) On streets within Dover and Dover Bay Resort, all electric carts should stay along the right-hand edge of the and travel with traffic and not against traffic. 3.) Do not allow anyone to ride standing in the vehicle, ride on top of the vehicle or on the back platform of the vehicle. Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times. 4.) Always use hand signals to indicate upcoming turns as well as your turn signals. Golf carts should always yield to other vehicle traffic in all cases. 5.) Golf carts and electric cars are not permitted to travel on sidewalks or pathways. Additionally, golf carts are not permitted to be parked on the marina, any surrounding boardwalks and/or any of the hiking trails.
