Dover Bay Trails

Dover Bay, featuring 285 acres with more than one-half preserved as open space, offers more than 9 miles of trails, all open to the public. These trails meander through forests, and wetlands, cross bridges and boardwalks and travel along the beautiful Pend Oreille River.

Extend your walk or bike ride through the quiet streets of Dover, passing by the historic Dover Community Church on Washington St. Originally intended as the summer home of the A.C. White family, a former Dover Mill owner, the building was barged 10 miles upriver from Laclede and given to the people of Dover for the purpose of being used as a church. Cedar bark covers most of the exterior of the building as a reminder of its history and the home of the Nelson family, located next door became the community hall.
