Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing pursuant to Idaho Code and Dover City Code has been set for Dover City Council on October 10, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at Dover City Hall, 699 Lakeshore Ave., Dover, to consider the following proposed amendment to Title 12 (Zoning Regulations), initiated by the City of Dover:
File #AM017-19, Structures and Fencing – An amendment to Title 12 to clarify fence setback standards, provide a fence definition, and revise the structure definition to exclude fences not exceeding 7 feet. The Dover Planning and Zoning Commission heard this file on May 2, and June 6, 2019 and recommended approval, adding standards for fencing materials and maximum heights within the waterfront and front yard setbacks. The City Council heard this amendment July 11, 2019, denied the ordinance as recommended, requested removal of proposed front yard fence height restrictions and an adjustment of maximum fence height standards within the waterfront, and called for further public notice.
The public is encouraged to attend the hearings or provide written response. Any written comment greater than 1 page must be submitted at least 6 days prior to the meeting. Written material not exceeding 1 page may be read into the record the day of the hearing. Public testimony shall comply with Dover’s public hearing resolution (copies available at City Hall.)
The deadline for submitting written comment and/or material is 4 p.m. October 3, 2019. Written comment can be mailed to City of Dover, P.O. Box 115, Dover, ID 83825-0115, or faxed to (208) 265-9035.
