An update on the Ontario project from our City Engineer:
Ontario Street (West of the Railroad)
The City is aware of pavement issues in the downhill eastbound lane between Syringa Heights and Lower Syringa. Repair plans are being evaluated. An update will be provided once a construction schedule is available.
Dover Segment of Ontario Rd
Construction Items Completed: Removal of portions of existing asphalt has been completed.
Up Next: Sewer extension installation between Canoe Cove and Dover/Sandpoint City limit will begin Monday, Aug 15. After sewer installation, several hundred feet of roadway will be rebuilt and prepared for final paving.
Planned completion date: August 30, 2022
Sandpoint Segment of Ontario Rd
Construction Items Completed: Pavement removal is in progress. Culvert extension work is in progress.
Up Next: Embankment will be placed for roadway widening, followed by paving in a couple weeks.
